Downloaded the Appslib app and was able to get Flash and and host of other apps. Battery seems to be just fine. It does wear out a little faster than I wanted but I am able to do what I want with it. What do you expect for $250 bucks? The casing is a bit on the cheaper side but I am not going to be playing football with it anytime soon. Video plays slightly slower than I was expecting but ok for now. The resolution on the screen looks good. The angle of the screen can be kind of annoying but you learn to live it after awhile. Also, there is a great forum of Archos tablet owners (Google it) that goes over everything you probably wanted to know about the tablet. Overrall, good product for the money. You can't beat it. If you are trying to decide to go with a 7" or 10", go with the 10". You won't regret it. In the past few days they have mounted self-serving arguments against proposed electoral reforms that the major parties look set to come together to support. The reforms include caps for how much money wealthy individuals can donate, caps on the amount candidates can spend in individual electorates to prevent the equivalent of an arms race, and a $90million limit on what any party can spend at an election - actually less than the major parties currently spend. The proposed new laws also include lower disclosure thresholds for donations, thus increasing the transparency of who makes political donations in the first place. So the wealthy wont be able to hide behind anonymity while using their cash to influence election outcomes - and the extent to which they can use their wealth at all will be limited. The bill will further improve transparency by also increasing the speed and frequency that disclosures of donations need to be made. At present we have the absurd situation in which donations get made - but you only find out the details of who has given what to whom many months later, well after elections are won and lost. In other words, what is broadly being proposed will result in much greater transparency and far less big money being injected into campaigning by the wealthy. Teal Kylea Tink claimed the major parties were 'running scared' with the policy and warned the reform would 'not stop the rot' Greens senate leader Larissa Waters (left) fired a warning shot - saying if it serves only the major parties 'it's a rort, not reform'. The Labor government isn't even seeking for these transparency rules to take effect immediately, by the way. It won't be some sort of quick-paced power play before the next election designed to catch the crossbench out. They are aiming for implementation by 2026, giving everyone enough time to absorb and understand the changes before preparing for them. Don't get me wrong, no deal has yet been done between Labor and the Coalition. I imagine the opposition want to go over the laws with a fine tooth comb. As they should - because it certainly isn't beyond Labor to include hidden one-party advantages in the proposed design which would create loopholes only the unions are capable of taking advantage of, therefore disadvantaging the Coalition electorally in the years to come. But short of such baked-in trickiness scuttling a deal to get these proposed laws implemented, the crossbench should offer their support, not cynical opposition, to what is being advocated for. They might even be able to offer something worthwhile that could be incorporated in the package. To not do so exposes their utter hypocrisy and blowhard false commentary about being in politics to 'clean things up'. Joker: Folie À Deux has been branded the 'most disappointing follow-up to the Oscar-winning movie' by critics, as they cast doubt on Lady Gaga's 'thin' role in the film following its release on Friday. 'That's way below what we expected,' one wrote in regards to the current Rotten Tomatoes scores. 'People are saying this is the worst sequel ever' A fan explained, 'yea this film was bad. it was pretentious and dull. has the aesthetic of an arthouse film without the substance' The 'bleak' sequel, has also received a tepid reception from fans, with some claiming Lady Gaga's career could be at risk. While the same director Todd Phillips was back in the hot seat, critics have said the sequel is just a 'repeat' of the first hit but with an added musical twist. Most critics have said Todd failed to use Gaga correctly in the movie and claimed she was only bought in for the musical aspect of it. While the majority of critics say Joker: Folie À Deux didn't live up to expectations, others have dubbed the movie 'bold' and 'brilliant.' Daily Mail's Brian Viner commended the move as 'bold' and 'brilliant' but said it lacked any thrill. The Independent's Geoffrey Macnab said: 'Today Joker is best remembered as one of the most subversive and original films of the last decade, while its hugely anticipated sequel is just as bleak and formally daring as its predecessor'. Meanwhile, the Irish Times' Donald Clarke gave the movie just two stars but credited Phillips' work for making a sequel following the first movie's $1billion success. Financial Times critic Danny Leigh said although Gaga worked hard to bump the ratings up in the sequel, Phillips appeared to have no idea what to do with her. Giving a three star rating, The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw claimed the movie proves 'claustrophobic' and 'repetitive.' During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Phillips discussed whether he would be interested in making a third Joker film or a movie centered around Gaga's character; Phillips, Gaga and Phoenix seen in September in L.A.
